Stuck in Neutral

One of the most common types of flooring is neutral carpeting. And if you also have neutral furniture, your floor and furniture will seem to blend together. But there's a simple solution—add an area rug! Incorporating a rug that features darker tones like red, black and gold will provide the contrast your room needs to break up all those neutral hues. You can even use your rug's colors as the inspiration for your room's accent pillows, artwork and window treatments. When it comes to placement, try tucking the rug under the front feet of your furniture. This will create contrast and a cozy conversation spot!
