Comments about RIVERSIDE FURNITURE Metro II End Table:
We purchased two of the end tables with the coffee table and they look beautiful in our living room. They go very nicely with the Del Mar Chocolate Oak 3-piece entertainment center.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

We purchased 2 of these end tables along with the coffee table and with a contemporary sofa and love seat it looks terrific. We could not be happier with our selection.

About Me Midrange Shopper
I bought one end table with the two drawers and one with the cupboard, as well as the coffee table. These tables are ok. I bought these because I didn't really find anything else I liked (and I had searched for months), but I thought these were perhaps a little bland when I got them. Since purchasing them over a year ago, they've grown on me a little. They're still not quite my style, but they're certainly not bad. Maybe they just don't blend well with the rest of my furniture?Positives: They are very robust and will look nice in almost any décor. The end tables are a little narrower than most which makes it possible to fit them into more places. I really like the size of the end tables. They're the perfect height, too. It's also a nice option to have more than one style of end table available. As I noted, I bought one of each. I think they have a nice shape and color. They also seem pretty robust and can probably support a lot of weight. Usually, they're not holding too much, but I feel confident a couple people could stand on any of these tables without problem. They also have a nice, rich brown color that can look red if in the right light.Negatives: The surface of these looks very fragile. I think they are prone to bruising and getting scratched. All tables are like this, but many are easily cleaned or repaired, and some damage adds character. I don't this set takes damage gracefully. It also seems a little underfinished, like it should have an extra coating of laminate on it to make it a bit sturdier, smoother, and better looking. I feel like I have to use a coaster with these, but shouldn't need to. The tables also look a little bulky and heavy, and I prefer a more lightweight feel. I also think this could be a bit more visually interesting if they had some detail on them. For example, the coffee table is nice, but the surface is very large (larger than most). As a result, the surface is a large piece of wood. It's nice wood, but it's visually uninteresting. Perhaps some etching, differentiated height, a neat grain pattern, or routed edges would give this a little more appeal. Another bad point is that some drawers were stuck or very difficult to open upon delivery, but after some repairs and modifications, they are better.I think the price of the coffee table is fair, but the end tables being around the same price each seems a little high.To summarize, they're nice tables, and will work in varied environments. Maaaaybe not quiiiite my style, but still nice!
