Life as a kid is tough. There’s homework, after-school activities, sports, friends, siblings—it’s exhausting just thinking about it!
So considering your child’s busy lifestyle, they need (and deserve) a good night’s sleep like you do. And that’s where a comfy
mattress comes in!
Shopping for a mattress with your child can be a really fun experience for both of you. This is their very own special bed, so the trick is to make an event out of the experience so it’s as exciting for them as picking out a new toy. Before heading to the store, let your child dress in their favorite pair of PJs and take along their comfiest pillow and a stuffed animal or two. Teddy will be sharing the bed too, you know!
When testing mattresses, let them try out as many as they want for as long as they want, and take what they say to heart when they talk comfort. Your kid will do a lot of growing on this mattress, so it’s important to provide the support their body needs.
Kids establish their sleep habits early in life, so by now they may know if they’re a side, back or stomach sleeper. Take this into consideration to find the optimal bed for your child’s sleep style (see “Comfort Types” on the next page to learn about the different bed styles). If you’re not sure, start with plush and go from there, since plush mattresses
provide a great balance of support and softness.
