Building a Sustainable Future
We are committed to doing our part for the planet. This dedication translates into real results: we recycle 99% of our furniture packaging on site, diverting tens of millions of pounds of materials from landfills annually. Additionally, we optimize furniture deliveries to minimize fuel consumption. Every action, big or small, adds up. We continue to work together to create a more sustainable future.
In a typical year, we recycle:
20 million pounds of cardboard
Saving the equivalent of over 345,000 gallons of oil.
800,000 pounds of styrofoam
Waste that would have taken 1 million years to decompose.
Over 1 million pounds of plastic
Saving enough energy to power 500 homes for a year.
Over 100,000 pounds of paper
Saving the equivalent of over 2,750 gallons of gas.
Community Collaboration
Home Furnishing Consultant Cindy Sanmillan, the Nanuet sales team along with our local delivery team, partnered with Birth Haven to transform their shelter after a damaging fire. This non-profit organization in Newton, N.J. provides a safe and nurturing environment for unhoused pregnant women and girls to have their babies and learn how to be self-sufficient mothers.
We helped grant another wish! Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate Adalyn, our 5-year-old Make-A-Wish recipient. Pink was the color of the day as Adalyn selected a bedroom set of her choice. We are honored to continue to partner with Make-A-Wish to fulfill the wishes of children in our community.
We are honored to continue to partner with We Rise Above the Streets, to help improve the quality of life within the community. Associates work together to make sandwiches and create inspirational messages for drop-off bags for people experiencing homelessness.
